Job Overview:

Job Summary**

The Coordinator I Timekeeping is responsible for accurate and timely processing of employee time records, ensuring compliance with company policies, labor laws, and project requirements. This role supports efficient payroll operations and assists with timekeeping-related inquiries.

Job Responsibilities**

  • Collect, review, and verify employee timesheets and time entries for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and project codes.
  • Enter and process timekeeping data into the designated payroll and time management systems.
  • Investigate and resolve time discrepancies, missing punches, and other timekeeping issues through communication with employees and supervisors.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of timekeeping systems and processes.
  • Generate and distribute timekeeping reports to management as required.
  • Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries regarding timekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and organized timekeeping records.
  • Assist with special projects and audits related to timekeeping and payroll.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments, including HR and Project Management.

Job Qualifications**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or administrative support roles, preferably within a construction or industrial services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with timekeeping and payroll software (e.g., mJobTime, Workday, Oracle) is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of basic payroll principles and labor laws is a plus.
