Vantor is seeking an Algorithm Engineer to help develop next-generation solutions in computer vision, geospatial analytics, and photogrammetry. This role requires a strong mathematical and statistical foundation, sensor model expertise, and experience developing image processing algorithms. The ideal candidate will contribute to solving challenging problems involving imagery, spatial data, sensor modeling, and AI-enabled workflows while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize image processing algorithms.
- Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to solve engineering problems.
- Research, prototype, and implement solutions leveraging machine learning and computer vision technologies.
- Collaborate with software engineers, geospatial specialists, and product teams to develop scalable solutions.
- Analyze large datasets and imagery to improve system accuracy and performance.
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of AI-enabled workflows and engineering practices.
- Support the validation and testing of algorithms to ensure accuracy, robustness, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Sciences, or a related technical field.
- 2–5 years of relevant industry or research experience.
- Experience working with or supporting sensor models.
- Strong statistical background, including experience applying statistical methods to engineering problems.
- Strong mathematical foundation with the ability to apply quantitative methods to technical challenges.
- Experience designing, implementing, and validating algorithms.
- Experience with multivariable and physical statistical models.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and AI agents used in engineering workflows.
- Flexible and willing to transition easily between tasks that may vary in scope and technical focus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Sciences, or a related technical field.
- Experience with geospatial, photogrammetric, or remote sensing applications.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and modern AI technologies.
- Experience transitioning research concepts into production software systems.
- Experience working with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application environments.
● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $102,000.00 - $136,000.00 - $149,600.00 annually.
