- Strong working knowledge of GDAL/OGR, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, spatial indexing, coordinate reference systems, and spatial data-processing concepts.
- Proven ability to provide technical guidance and mentor other engineers without direct management responsibility.
- Familiarity with Agile software engineering practices and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geospatial Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with modern geospatial technologies and formats, including GeoParquet, DuckDB spatial, vector tiles, FlatGeobuf, GeoPackage, or Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF.
- Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Knowledge of geospatial, geodesic, photogrammetric, or remote sensing technologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented with a willingness to work closely with technical systems and processes.
