We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Quality System & Lab Manager to lead our quality operations at the Beaumont, TX facility. In this vital leadership role, you will effectively manage, coach, and inspire a dedicated hourly workforce while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Quality Lab and the site Quality Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

  • Continuous Improvement Strategist: Committed to driving quality initiatives through data-driven problem solving, root cause analysis, and strict adherence to regulatory standards such as ISO, EHS, and PSM requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Quality Strategy Leadership: Lead and optimize the end-to-end quality assurance strategy for the Beaumont facility, aligning laboratory operations with corporate standards and customer expectations to ensure superior product quality.
  • Operational Excellence & Lab Management: Direct daily QC laboratory operations, overseeing batch adjustments, process analysis, and equipment maintenance to guarantee high operational availability (>99%) and technical precision.
  • Team Empowerment & Mentorship: Coach and mentor the hourly laboratory workforce, fostering a culture of technical proficiency, safety, and continuous professional growth.
  • Compliance & Systems Administration: Maintain robust compliance with ISO standards, EHS protocols, and Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements. Proactively identify and implement systems improvements to ensure a safe and audit-ready environment.
  • Quality System Governance: Oversee the full lifecycle of quality management, including CAPA (Corrective/Preventive Action) processes, root cause analysis (RCA), complaint trending, and field action resolution to drive measurable improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production and supply chain leadership to manage inventory holds, resolve process deviations, and implement strategic projects that enhance overall production quality and efficiency.
  • Training & Capability Building: Design and deliver targeted training on quality SOPs and technical procedures to upskill team members and ensure consistent execution across all shifts.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate all quality assurance functions for the Beaumont, Texas plant
  • Direct and coordinate the overall quality for materials, processes, and finished products to meet customer purchase order requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of (5) years of experience in a manufacturing quality lab environment, with preferred experience managing an hourly workforce.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience managing and maintaining ISO 9001 (or similar) quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, including handling of hazardous materials and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage frontline employees, peers, and executive leadership.

(Preferred)

  • Experience in water treatment chemical manufacturing or related specialty chemical sectors.
  • Advanced degree in Analytical, Organic, or Polymer Chemistry.
  • Analytical chemistry background with expertise in GC / HPLC method development.
  • Knowledge of or experience working in a PSM facility.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing tools and driving measurable operational improvements
