Full job description
As the Accounts Payable Representative, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices while supporting strong relationships with both internal departments and external vendors. You will help maintain the integrity of financial records by resolving discrepancies, monitoring payments, and managing a high volume of transactions.
What you're responsible for:
- Reviewing vendor invoices accurately and timely for posting in AIM's various accounting systems
- Validating invoice charges against purchase orders, goods/service receipts, and authorized approvals
- Identifying and resolving invoice discrepancies through research and investigation
- Following up with vendors and internal departments to resolve outstanding invoice issues
- Coordinating with AIM departments to obtain information and clear pending transactions
- Reconciling vendor statements against the company's accounts payable subledger
- Monitoring vendor payment schedules to support timely and accurate payments

- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounts payable or accounting function
- You have knowledge of basic accounting principles
- You have a High School diploma; a college degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred
- You have a good general understanding of computer systems and accounting software
- You have intermediate-level Excel skills
- You are able to adapt quickly to changing situations and proactively address challenges
- You are capable of managing a large volume of transactions with accuracy
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills
