In the role of Senior Analyst, Business Systems you will support many functional areas and apply relevant principles.
The Senior Analyst, Business Systems IAI will assist in providing visibility, guidance, and oversight for project capital/expense and functional budget management. This role will require active involvement in analytics, financials, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Point of contact for Infrastructure, Architecture and Innovation (IAI) teams with respect to project capital/expense activities, including requests for additional funding, demand management, and RCE submissions.
- Uses appropriate tools to collect, correlate, and analyze data; maintains financial records; and collaborates with Finance to prepare materials for planning reviews, including cost center-level detail, project spend, and functional budgets.
- Monitor and report financial performance, prepare monthly meeting presentations with cross-functional partners, and assist in communicating status to BTS Finance, leadership, delivery teams, and colleagues. Leveraging project management practices and tools (e.g., Jira).
- Applies analytical thinking to diagnose financial workflows, recommend process improvements, and optimize financial operations through data analysis, process mapping, dashboards, and AI/automation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and enhance financial accuracy by standardizing procedures.
- Provide guidance to project teams on year-end close activities, project closure, capital utilization, and ad hoc analysis, as well as the new-year processes.
- Assist with driving operational excellence and standards for monthly expense LBE’s (Latest Best Estimates), annual Capital Plan, Functional Budgets, and LRP activities.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years’ technical experience, or Master’s Degree plus 4 years’ experience
- Experience with Portfolio and Project Management practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Excel), including resource and financial management
- Experience in a Business System Analyst role
- Ability to establish and maintain quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Project Coordination/Management experience
- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this roleat the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on manyfactors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
