We're Hiring an Executive Account Specialist!

Xylem is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Executive Account Specialist to lead strategic inside sales initiatives and cultivate long-term customer relationships within the water and wastewater industry. This role is responsible for selling products and services across multiple channels, serving as the primary post-sale contact, and driving customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth with aftermarket sales. The ideal candidate will demonstrate urgency, strategic thinking, and a mastery of sales techniques to close complex deals and support high-value accounts.

What you'll do

  • Engage new and existing customers to drive recurring and new business opportunities
  • Develop and deliver compelling quotes and proposals tailored to customer needs
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and account retention
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for forecasting and pipeline management
  • Stay current on Xylem and customer technologies to remain a trusted advisor
  • Mentor and support junior Account Specialists, leading critical and complex sales efforts
  • Manage and close high-impact sales with key strategic accounts
  • Collaborate effectively across departments and with outside sales teams to meet revenue targets
  • Demonstrate consultative selling and solution-based recommendations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll bring:

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)

Experience & Skills

  • Aftermarket sales experience.
  • Knowledge of Water treatment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and influence sales strategy
  • Experience mentoring and leading others in complex sales scenarios
  • Proficient in SAP ERP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM systems
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Effective cross-functional communication for alignment and information sharing
  • Occasional local travel required (approximately 10%) to visit customers
