Our Fluid & Metering Technologies (FMT) businesses design and manufacture a range of fluid handling products – including pumps, valves, and flow meters – that are essential to fluid management in industries such as agriculture, chemicals, and energy. Our products handle some of the world’s toughest challenges, moving and measuring corrosive, abrasive, high-viscosity, and high-temperature materials with accuracy and reliability. From powering clean energy solutions to supporting pharmaceutical production, FMT delivers trusted solutions that help our customers across the globe manage their most critical processes. The segment generates approximately $1.2B in revenue, with a global footprint including 80+ sites, ~3,000 employees, and a strong runway for sustainable profitable growth.

Summary Role Overview

The President, Intelligent Water leads a global ~$385M business with ~800 employees across 8 BU’s in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Reporting within the FMT segment, this role is responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation while aligning business strategy with segment and enterprise priorities.

The President oversees a portfolio of market-leading businesses, including ADS, iPEK, Envirosight, WinCan, MyTana, Pipeline Renewal Technologies, Trebor, and Pulsafeeder, serving municipal water and wastewater, industrial water treatment, semiconductor, chemical and hydrocarbon processing, oil and gas, power generation, and government agency markets, globally. The portfolio provides innovative wastewater inspection, monitoring, detection, mitigation, cleaning, and repair technologies; cloud-based data and analytics platforms; metering and flow monitoring solutions; and high-purity, chemical metering, transfer, peristaltic, and gear pump technologies. Through a combination of innovative products, services, and digital capabilities, Intelligent Water enables customers to manage critical infrastructure and fluid-handling applications more effectively and sustainably.

The President is responsible for the overall strategy, performance, and growth of the Intelligent Water portfolio. This leader drives alignment across the business, establishes strategic priorities, and ensures execution against financial, operational, and organizational objectives. Success in the role is measured by the ability to strengthen market leadership, accelerate innovation, expand global reach, and create value through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for Intelligent Water, delivering sustainable revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term shareholder value creation.
  • Lead the global P&L portfolio, ensuring achievement of financial commitments, operational objectives, strategic priorities, and growth targets that outperform market trends.
  • Drive commercial excellence by strengthening market leadership, expanding customer relationships, improving pricing effectiveness, and identifying new growth opportunities across municipal, industrial, and specialty end markets.
  • Establish and execute capital allocation priorities, making disciplined investment decisions that optimize returns, accelerate growth, support innovation, and improve portfolio performance.
  • Lead strategic M&A opportunities to expand capabilities, strengthen market positions, and realize growth and synergy objectives.
  • Advance portfolio integration and operational alignment across businesses to improve scalability, enhance customer experience, leverage shared capabilities, and build more efficient operating models and data-driven processes.
  • Foster innovation and digital transformation through the expansion of connected products, analytics, monitoring technologies, and data-enabled solutions that create differentiated customer value.
  • Strengthen operational performance through disciplined execution, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective management of global manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing leadership team through talent assessment, leadership development, succession planning, organizational capability building, and the recruitment and development of future General Managers and enterprise leaders.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, integrity, inclusion, and continuous improvement while driving high levels of employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with FMT and enterprise leadership to align business strategies, communicate performance, and ensure Intelligent Water's priorities support broader segment and enterprise objectives.
  • Represent Intelligent Water with customers, industry associations, acquisition targets, government agencies, investors, and other key stakeholders to strengthen the company's reputation and expand growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced executive-level master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive industrial leadership experience, with verified multi-market industrial or engineered products full portfolio P&L ownership.
  • Demonstrated success leading businesses, divisions, or portfolios with significant P&L responsibility, delivering sustained revenue growth, profitability improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Proven experience leading global organizations across multiple regions, cultures, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience serving municipal, industrial, water, wastewater, fluid-handling, infrastructure, or related end markets preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic acquisitions, integration activities, portfolio optimization initiatives, and business transformation efforts.
  • Strong command of strategic planning, capital allocation, pricing, commercial excellence, operational performance, and continuous improvement disciplines, including application of 8020 principles.
  • Demonstrated success building high-performing organizations, developing senior leaders, driving succession planning, and creating strong leadership pipelines.
  • Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, Boards, investors, and enterprise leadership.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $314,700.00 - $472,100.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
