Full job description

We are seeking professionals with backgrounds and experience in Construction, scheduling, estimating, contract management and health and for leadership and field levels.

Field Roles (Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Staff and Health and Safety Leads would be provided with a company truck and be eligible for per diem. Significant land travel is required to deliver multiple project sites in a coordinated geographic. Project sites are in coordinated routes of approximately 30-50 miles apart.

Support roles would be hybrid working from AECOM offices and remotely near regional hiring hubs.

General responsibilities and qualifications below:

Project Manager / Team Lead

Lead end-to-end delivery of amplifier site civil and MEP works—permitting through site readiness—meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the client’s primary interface and align design, procurement, construction, inspections, and turnover.
  • Own scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and change for site development: grading, access, foundations/pads, bollards, grounding, fencing, lighting, security, shelters/cabinets, AC distribution, -48V DC plant, HVAC, lightning protection.

Superintendent / Field Staff

Supervise daily field execution for amplifier site builds to achieve plan-of-day targets safely and with quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead crews/subcontractors for grading, erosion control, concrete forms/pours, anchor bolts, pads, bollards, grounding grids/rods, fencing/gates, site lighting, and security equipment bases.
  • Oversee shelter/cabinet setting (rigging/crane), AC distribution, -48V DC plant installation, HVAC placement, cable tray/conduit within the site boundary, and equipment terminations per drawings.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and spec compliance; conduct JHAs, verify inspections, etc.

Safety (HSE Manager)

Own area HSE planning and execution to embed a proactive safety culture across site construction.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the project HSE plan; prepare JHAs for excavation, concrete, crane/rigging, electrical (-48V DC/AC), battery handling, HVAC refrigerants, hot/cold stress, and working at heights.
  • Conduct site audits, track leading indicators, investigate incidents/near misses, and drive corrective actions.

Scheduler

Develop and maintain a fully logic-linked schedule that integrates design, permitting, procurement, civil/structural, MEP, inspections, commissioning, and turnover.

Key responsibilities

  • Build WBS and critical path; model long-lead items (shelters, HVAC, switchgear, generators), utility service timelines, and inspection gates.
  • Resource/cost load key activities; produce three- to six-week look-aheads for field execution; run what-if and risk simulations.

Estimator / Preconstruction

Produce accurate estimates and preconstruction plans for amplifier site civil/structural/MEP scopes to inform budgets, buy-outs, and value engineering.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform quantity takeoffs for grading/earthwork, erosion control, concrete pads/foundations, anchor bolts, bollards, fencing, grounding systems, site lighting/security bases, shelter/cabinet setting, AC distribution, -48V DC plants, HVAC units, and lightning protection.

Contract Manager

Manage the prime contract and all subcontracts to control risk, cost, and compliance throughout site construction.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead contract reviews, risk assessments, and flowdowns covering scope, schedule, warranties, liquidated damages, insurance/bonding, and indemnities.
  • Administer subcontracts and POs for civil, electrical, mechanical, and shelter vendors; ensure deliverable compliance, pay apps, and lien releases.
  • Manage changes/claims, correspondence, and commercial logs tied to schedule and cost impacts; support audits.

Minimum Requirements

Project Manager / Team Lead

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years delivering site/civil and MEP construction (telecom sites, utility compounds, or light industrial).
  • Experience with schedule/cost controls and collaboration tools (P6 or MS Project, SharePoint

Superintendent

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; or demonstrated equivalent of experience and education.
  • 6 years supervising site/civil and MEP construction (telecom/utility/industrial), including concrete and electrical coordination.
  • Experience of building/electrical codes, excavation and concrete best practices, grounding, HVAC set and start-up coordination

Field Staff

  • Bachelor’s in engineering, construction management, or related field; or demonstrated equivalent of experience and education.
  • 2 years supporting site/civil and MEP construction (telecom/utility/industrial), including concrete and electrical coordination.

Safety (HSE Manager)

  • Bachelor’s in Occupational Health and Safety or related field with 8 years of experience in construction safety (civil/MEP/industrial).
  • OSHA 30
  • Experience in incident investigation and field engagement skills.

Scheduler

  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management or closely related field.
  • 6 years of experience scheduling site/civil/MEP construction; experienced with in P6 or MS Project.
  • Experience with permitting workflows, utility coordination, and pre-commission/commission sequences.

Estimator / Preconstruction

  • 6 years of experience estimating site/civil/MEP scopes (telecom sites, utility yards, light industrial).
  • Experience with estimating tools and Excel; drawings/specs interpretation.

Contract Manager

  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Business or closely related field.
  • 6 years contract administration in construction; experience with negotiation, drafting, and commercial review
  • Experience with unit-price, T&M, and lump-sum structures and their linkage to schedule/cost.

Roles requiring field work will require a Valid U.S. Driver’s license and as a condition of employment, ability to pass AECOM’s motor vehicle records review. Additionally, travel including overnight will be required.

Support roles may require travel as needed to project sites or other AECOM offices.
