You will directly manage a team of performance marketers, overseeing day-to-day operations, performance pacing, and compliance across YouTube and a portfolio of emerging channels.
You are both a strategic architect and an operational leader—capable of building multi-channel roadmaps, designing disciplined testing frameworks for new channels, and guiding your team to execute flawlessly.
Responsibilities
- Oversee our portfolio of outbound acquisition channels, specifically owning YouTube and establishing a pipeline for emerging channels:
- Serving as the central point of contact for external platforms and media partners.
- Answering ad-hoc strategic questions from internal business partners and external vendors.
- Providing feedback to media partners on performance trends and optimization areas.
- Monitor performance and competitive trends to optimize active channels and scale new opportunities:
- Researching, vetting, and onboarding new emerging marketing channels.
- Building and managing performance roadmaps for YouTube and each emerging channel.
- Managing contractual terms, insertion orders (IOs), and platform agreements.
- Supporting technical tracking, pixel setups, and API integrations with data partners.
- Manage the creative development and testing process to drive conversion-focused assets:
- Partnering closely with our internal creative team, design agencies, and external creators to develop high-performing video, static, and text ads.
- Acting as a performance creative consultant, translating channel-specific data (e.g., YouTube hook rates, watch time), as well as emerging industry trends, into clear briefs for the creative pipeline.
- Ensure all channels meet compliance, legal, and operational requirements:
- Auditing active campaigns to ensure strict adherence to existing compliance processes, while developing new, robust workflows to continually advance our well-managed agenda.
- Liaising with internal risk and legal teams to document and quickly remediate any compliance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive the overall marketing strategy:
- Partnering with data teams to refine cross-channel attribution, data infrastructure, and invoice reconciliation.
- Aligning with Brand and PR teams on core messaging and brand safety parameters.
- Overseeing the monthly budget management, forecasting, and billing processes.
- Ensure the team documents operational processes and continuously seeks ways to automate or streamline campaign workflows.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or paid acquisition.
- At least 3 years of experience managing paid media strategies and optimizing growth channels, with a specific focus on YouTube or platforms with video inventory.
- At least 3 years of experience directly leading and managing a team of digital marketers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, or performance marketing.
- At least 4 years of experience directly leading and developing high-performing teams of performance marketers.
- Proven track record of designing testing frameworks and successfully scaling emerging media channels (e.g., CTV, TikTok, Pinterest, or Reddit) from pilot to a core acquisition channel.
- Deep understanding of modern attribution and tracking, with experience navigating cookie-less measurement, multi-touch attribution, and partnering with analytics teams on lift studies or Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM).
- Experience managing a high-volume performance creative pipeline, including writing briefs, analyzing video metrics (e.g., hook rates, watch time), and collaborating with design teams to rapidly iterate on ad assets.
- Strong experience navigating strict compliance, legal, and risk frameworks within a highly regulated industry or corporate environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex channel data into clear, high-level business insights and strategic roadmaps for executive leadership.
