JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $27.00 Per Hour

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport, deliver, and/or unload windows and patio door products to customers in a safe and timely manner to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a Box Truck. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.

  • Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with general public, understand highway traffic signs/signals, respond to inquiries and to make entries on reports/records per DOT Reg 391.11
  • Complete all assigned delivery routes out of Lakewood & Auburn. Driver will deliver to local construction jobsites and is responsible for manually offloading product
  • Address customer questions, issues and concerns in a professional and timely fashion
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times in both actions and personal appearance
  • Adhere to Cascade policies and procedures
  • Complete all delivery and return documentation accurately and legibly
  • Maintain driver logs and inspections
  • Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and organized condition
  • Uphold all safety practices according to safety handbook and DOT regulations
  • Load and unload trucks and assist others with loading and unloading
  • Will spend 50% time loading/unloading and 50% of the time driving
  • Must be DOT compliant
  • 1 years of previous Box Truck driving experience including winter driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
  • Ability to read, write and perform simple mathematical calculations with general mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain logs, etc.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on-board computer system and by phone
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist with or without assistance
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively with people in a fast-paced environment

The US pay for this full-time position is $27.00 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.)
