JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour, plus $2.00 shift differential

2nd Shift: 1:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday - Thursday, hours may vary depending on operations

We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Machine Operator to work in our steel panel production department. This position is responsible for operating a roll form mill to produce steel panels cut to custom lengths.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, positive attitude, mechanical aptitude, and a team first mindset, take initiative and own their work, while communicating with respect.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Operating a steel roll form mill, loading & unloading steel coils with a forklift, banding and putting away steel.
  • Know how to properly run the equipment to make panels to specifications.
  • General understanding of how steel panels are used in construction.
  • Learn and cross train on other machines.
  • Inspect finish products for accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space.
  • Follow company safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to meet daily production goals.
  • Willing to work with others in supportive areas of the plant.

Safety:

We supply safety glasses, cut resistant arm guards, cut resistant gloves, steel toe footwear allowance provided.

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work on your feet for 90% of the day.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 - 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to understand and read schematics.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to work independently but contribute to team accomplishments.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Reliable transportation, attendance, & punctuality.
