Job Overview:

The Rodbuster will be responsible for placing and tying rebar according to blueprints and specifications for various energy infrastructure projects. This role involves physically demanding work in outdoor construction environments.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine rebar placement and requirements.
• Cut, bend, and position rebar using hand and power tools.
• Tie rebar together using tie wire, rebar ties, or rebar tying tools to create cages and structures.
• Erect and dismantle rebar structures and scaffolding as needed.
• Assist with the movement and loading/unloading of rebar and other materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other construction trades and team members.
• Inspect rebar for proper placement, spacing, and connection.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Operate various equipment such as rebar benders, cutters, and hoists safely and efficiently.

Job Qualifications:**

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Rodbuster or similar role in heavy civil or industrial construction.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Proficient in using rebar cutting, bending, and tying tools.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy rebar, stand, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites (24005 Rayburn, specifically).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
