Job Overview:

Job Summary:**

The CDL-Laborer at Primoris Services Corporation performs a variety of manual labor tasks, primarily supporting construction and utility projects, with the added responsibility of operating commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to and from job sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, a good work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) including dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy equipment as required, adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
  • Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, maintaining accurate logs and reporting any defects or issues.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment, utilizing proper lifting techniques and operating forklifts or other machinery as needed.
  • Perform general labor duties such as digging, trenching, backfilling, grading, and site preparation.
  • Assist skilled craftspeople by providing general support.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles, tools, and job sites.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.

Job Qualifications:**

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating commercial vehicles.
  • Proven experience in general construction or utility labor.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly and perform strenuous physical tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check.
