Full job description
Manager, Product Manager – Model Analytics & Forecasting
About the Team
Capital One’s Finance Product & Data Solutions (FPDS) team is the central product organization within Finance, responsible for defining strategy, prioritizing outcomes, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, resilient platforms and data capabilities. We bring the Product discipline to complex Finance ecosystems, aligning business needs, technology execution, risk mitigation, and data governance to enable trusted reporting, informed decision-making, and long-term modernization.
The Capital Markets & Analytics Product team is a high impact team within FPDS, entrusted with managing the platforms that our Capital Markets associates use to manage risk, value portfolios, and inform decision-making across Finance and the broader firm. Product Managers on our team are empowered to shape the platforms and capabilities that will define the future of balance sheet risk management at Capital One, while ensuring we maintain a well-managed and compliant suite of solutions for internal partners.
This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Risk, Data, and Technology. You will own products that enable analytical rigor, scalability, and trust in our models — ensuring they are transparent, well-governed, and fit for strategic use. Your work will directly influence how the firm evaluates risk, allocates capital, and navigates changing market conditions.
Responsibilities
- Embed with partners and stakeholders across quant model development, balance sheet risk management, and Treasury trading desks to understand user & end customer pain points and desired outcomes from modeling tools
- Partner closely with users & end customers, including Quant and Treasury teams, to translate business requirements that enable model development, testing, and deployment
- Partner closely with counterparts across Technology, Data, and Business stakeholder teams, while working closely with peer teams in Research, Design, Architecture, and other groups, to develop & iterate on proposed solutions for high priority needs
- Drive alignment across stakeholders by prioritizing competing initiatives, sequencing development of capabilities and features, and ensuring end-to-end delivery
- Establish success metrics and feedback loops to assess customer usability, adoption, and solutions impact, continuously iterating based on user and stakeholder feedback
This role is ideal for a Product Manager who thrives on ambiguity, enjoys solving hard structural problems, and can balance near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution.
You will be expected to operate as a trusted partner to Finance and Risk leaders — not just gathering requirements, but helping shape the “why,” “what,” and “how” behind the models that matter most.
