## Position Summary

This position exists to assist the Custodian Ill in delivery of custodial services to building occupants by serving in the capacity of a work leader directing and monitoring the work of a crew of up to 15 Custodian l’s.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Custodian Ill in delivery of custodial services to building occupants by serving in the capacity of a work leader directing and monitoring the work of a crew of up to 15 custodians.
  • Provides a range of custodial services to building occupants including but not limited to cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, removal of trash and recyclable materials, window and entry glass cleaning, carpeted and hard floor maintenance including vacuuming, spot cleaning and extracting of carpeted floors and vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, burnishing, stripping and refinishing of hard surface floors.
  • Operate and maintain buffers, burnishers (battery and cord operated), automatic floor scrubbers, carpet extractors and backpack vacuums, sweepers.

  • On-call Status: May be called in outside of normal hours to assist with snow removal or flood clean-up

## Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials:

Experience Only:

One (1) year of experience providing cleaning services for a commercial custodial employer.

## Preferred Qualifications:

The highly desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, personal characteristics, and experience directly related and critical to this position:

  • Directly related state service experience
  • Two or more years of custodial experience within an institutional environment (i.e. school system, higher education, office building, hospitality, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Experience with the operation and use of vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, wet/dry vacuums, floor scrubbing and/or polishing machines, buffing and/or other related cleaning operations.
  • Experience with snow removal.
  • Experience leading a work crew or team.
  • Communication – they communicate clear and concise information in a professional and honest manner through strong written composition and related tools
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Data entry ( enter and retrieve information on computer platforms)
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic mobile devices (phones, tablets) for business needs and team communication

$3,522 - $4,226 monthly
