DaVinci Roofscapes has an opening for A Day Shift Material Technician.

The schedule for this position is a Shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM (36-48 hours per week rotating schedule).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Trains and relieves machine operators as needed
• Fills in for the Lead during their absence, including performing color changes, quality checks, and become familiar with mold changeovers
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators
• Dumps by hand materials such as colors or plastic, into machine hoppers or move product by hand onto scrap pallets
• Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products
• Reads spread sheets to determine specific material requirements at changeovers
• Performs necessary maintenance and repair on some equipment used
• Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment
• Prepares and maintains records of product movement
• Pulls raw materials and finish product from various locations for manufacturing orders

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and taste or smell.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places
