Job Summary
The Parking Attendant is responsible for directing traffic, assisting guests, managing parking areas, and ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming parking experience at the venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct vehicles to designated parking areas and available spaces using hand signals, flashlights, or other traffic control methods.
- Safely guide traffic flow before, during, and after events.
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and answer questions regarding parking and venue access.
- Monitor parking areas to help prevent vehicle damage, theft, and unauthorized activity.
- Maintain clean, organized parking lots to maximize available parking space.
- Issue parking tickets or numbered tags and provide guests with corresponding claim tickets when applicable.
- Set up, move, and remove barricades or traffic control equipment as directed.
- Participate in the venue's sustainability initiatives by helping sort recyclables, reduce waste, and educate guests about environmental efforts.
- Assist fellow team members with venue closing duties, including collecting recyclables, cleaning parking and lawn areas, and storing equipment such as lawn chairs, barricades, and other event materials.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager
Qualifications
- Previous guest service or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional sitting.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to venue grooming standards.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, move, and position barricades and other event equipment.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during outdoor events as scheduled.
