About Cartesia
About the Role
As a Technical Sourcer, you will be the engine for our growth as a leading foundation model company, responsible for identifying and engaging world-class technical talent. This is an incredibly hands-on role, where you’ll be expected to not only source, but to screen and manage candidates through the process, as well as lead on strategic hiring initiatives alongside Recruiting.
Your Impact
- Strategic Talent Mapping: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify and attract top-tier talent for roles in Research/ML Engineering, Platform & Software Engineering and Product Engineering
- Creative Sourcing: Go beyond LinkedIn. Utilize a variety of channels including academic conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR), research publications (arXiv, Google Scholar), open-source communities (GitHub, Hugging Face), and professional networks to find exceptional candidates.
- Pipeline Generation: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified, passive candidates for current and future hiring needs, ensuring a healthy influx of talent for our most critical roles.
- Personalized Outreach: Craft compelling, personalized, and authentic outreach messages that resonate with a highly technical and sought-after audience. You understand that a generic message won't work.
- Candidate Engagement: Act as the first point of contact for candidates entering the process with Cartesia, to deliver an exceptional candidate experience
- Partnership: Collaborate closely with Recruiting and hiring managers to understand the precise technical requirements and nuances of each role, continuously calibrating your search.
What You Bring
- 2-5 years of experience in technical sourcing, with a focus on Engineering hiring
- A proven ability to source for highly specialized technical roles. You are comfortable discussing concepts related to machine learning, deep learning, NLP, or large-scale systems
- A track record of leveraging sourcing techniques including Boolean search, talent mapping, and navigating complex online ecosystems to uncover talent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft messages that are both technically credible and personally engaging
- A relentless drive to find the best talent and a deep curiosity about the AI landscape that fuels your search.
- Meticulous attention to detail and experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruiting software to manage candidate pipelines.
