JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

Support the training system and employees. Execute new, ongoing, and annual training initiatives. Provide onboarding, skill development, and enhancement to temporary and full-time employees. Partner with subject matter experts to create and maintain process procedures and standard work. Model the Andersen Values

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver and improve upon new employee onboarding and execute training system.
  • Provide hands-on and administrative responsibilities for new and existing employees
  • Provide training to standard
  • Maintain audits and records as necessary (standard work, quality, safety, training matrix, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with leaders and employees
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, engage employees
  • Support and utilize Lean/AMS tools and implementation
  • Perform related duties as assigned or requested
  • Provide coaching for hands-on shop floor trainer

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, with demonstrated progress and/or commitment to achieve
  • Experienced hands-on-training or Team Lead preferred
  • Organized, team player, effective communicator, and dependable
  • Takes initiative and ownership of long- and short-term projects/tasks and ensures completion with high quality
  • Must be willing to gain proficiency in MS Office Suite or comparable programs
  • Competent and effective communication skills
  • Experience using training documents
  • Must maintain a high level of diligence (attention to detail) and follow through
  • Prioritize activities from multiple sources, and communicate the status of activities/tasks
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with and motivate others
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to training, safety, and quality, and consistently models leadership in each area
  • Able to maintain and model a respectful work environment
  • Trustworthy and sensitive of confidential information
  • Able to support a continuous improvement culture; uses creativity to implement new ideas to improve training initiatives
  • Execute and train to operational standards (lean, safety, quality, etc.) in partnership with functional experts
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working in area of support is preferred
