Essential job functions:
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance related activities, including, but not limited to the following:
- Work Safely, following all OSHA, Mi-OSHA Standards and Company Safety Policies.
- IQMS – Preventative maintenance file setup, including frequency, tasks and skill level required for machinery.
- IQMS – System updates, including; running updating total units and running system work orders on a daily basis as well as inputting completed tasks, historical events and studies.
- Administer System to assure timely closure of emergency/priority works orders and system generated work orders including communication of the completion back to the originator for notification and approval if required.
- Communicate with equipment supplier to reach a timely resolution of equipment failures.
- Machine Maintenance (Molding and Auxiliary)
- Communication with plant Operations Manager to determine timing for internal preventative maintenance, repairs and improvements. This communication may apply to both machines and tooling.
- Spare parts inventory system-based Criticalness of part, Order Leadtime, and historical data.
- Order of replacement parts and spare parts.
- Development and administration of a Predictive Maintenance System for PRISM Plastics on specific items.
- Travel to assist in the startup of new operations, equipment wiring and installation.
- Travel to assist, as needed, other operations.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Assist in quality related tasks (sorting, increased inspection, GR&R’s, Cpk Studies, etc.) as required.
Assist in other job-related activities to help support a clean, safe and affective organization
Training and Work experience requirements or preferred:
- A minimum of five years of applicable work experience.
- Experience with computer and/or computer related systems.
- Robotics and/or automation experience.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Injection Molding and Auxiliary Equipment Training (preferred)
- Computer Training (preferred)
- Robotic and/or Automation Training (preferred)
- Electrical Training (preferred)
Essential Physical demands:
- Sit, stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
- Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
- Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
- Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Accommodation as required for reading computer screens and documentation
Working Conditions employee may be subject to:
- Safety glasses required when completing certain tasks in shop
- Breathing fumes, dust and mist
- Work performed in office environment with occasional need to be present on manufacturing floor
- Minimal travel required
- Valid Driver’s license required
