Technical expert that will independently identify, engineer, and optimize new data, software, or technology solutions that address critical business needs. Continuously seek to improve existing methods and processes. Read and adapt literature and publicly available information to accomplish assignments. Demonstrate proficiency in a broad range of techniques and methods for information technology engineering, including full-stack software development, data warehousing, statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and/or technology infrastructure (including servers, storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments). Develop and maintain modern applications using technologies such as C#, Python, and React while leveraging AI tools and methodologies to accelerate development, enhance decision-making, and improve business outcomes. Technology Engineers will be aligned to a specific area: Information, Software, Data, or Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Independently design and develop data, software, or technology solutions to answer scientific or business questions.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern technologies including C#, Python, React, cloud services, and enterprise integration platforms.
  • Demonstrate proficiency across a range of technologies related to programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data visualization, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Utilize AI tools, machine learning techniques, and modern software engineering methodologies to improve development efficiency, solution quality, and business value delivery.
  • Collaborate with business and scientific stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions while adhering to established architecture and development standards.
  • Understand the broad objectives of the project as well as his/her role in achieving those objectives and modify approach when required. Escalates open issues to ensure execution success and keeps stakeholders informed through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Learn, understand, and master new methods and technologies, and act as a resource or mentor for others.
  • Effectively organize and present project objectives and progress. Contribute to technical publications and presentations.
  • Produce and maintain required technical documentation associated with work product.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with modern software development practices, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and supporting full-stack applications using C#, Python, React, REST APIs, databases, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience applying AI tools, generative AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and modern software development methodologies in enterprise environments.

Preferred:

  • Background in chemistry, biology, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical sciences, or another life sciences discipline is strongly preferred.
  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
