Full job description

SUMMARY

The Pump Assembly Technician II is a skilled production team member responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and validating AODD pumps, service kits, and sub-assemblies. This position works independently with minimal supervision, applies advanced product knowledge to identify and resolve assembly and performance issues, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and serves as a technical resource and trainer for other team members. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and productivity. Experience working in a clean room is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform complex assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair operations on AODD pumps, service kits, and sub-assemblies.
  • Verify product quality and functionality by conducting testing procedures and documenting results.
  • Diagnose mechanical and performance issues; identify root causes and implement corrective actions within established guidelines.
  • Inspect assemblies for proper fit, form, and function; adjust, rework, and replace components as required to meet quality standards.
  • Perform and support product validation testing utilizing test stands, fixtures, gauges, and other production equipment.
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment, fixtures, and workstations to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
  • Read, interpret, and apply work instructions, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and specifications.
  • Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Technician I employees and new team members.
  • Assist supervisors, quality, and engineering teams in troubleshooting production issues and implementing process improvements.
  • Follow all clean room protocols, gowning procedures, contamination control requirements, and safety standards.
  • Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, and other required reports.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Transports parts to be assembled, tested, and completed parts to appropriate area for shipping, stocking, or rework.
  • Determines product rejects for rework or scrap and completes required paperwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Must be able to use various hand tools used to crimp, cut, fasten, torque, and measure.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments used to crimp, cut, fasten, torque, and inspect components.
  • Ability to wear required clean room garments and personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate continuously through speech and hearing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Visual acuity required for detailed assembly work, inspection activities, computer use, reading drawings, and work instructions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.

  • May require working with hazardous substances such as but not limited to Acetone and Isopropyl Alcohol.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, testing, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a clean room is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical products.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Pump Assembly Tech II - starting at $22.00 to $25.00 per hour + Quarterly Bonus

Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
