POSITION OVERVIEW

The Area Sales Director (ASD) is responsible for driving Collegium’s culture of high performance and delivering exceptional commercial results. Working closely with the Vice President of Sales and collaborating with sales leadership, marketing, compliance, and medical teams, the ASD will insure implementation of the company’s sales strategy. This role leads and coaches a team of Regional Sales Managers to develop and execute business plans that achieve corporate sales goals and key performance indicators. As a key source of market intelligence, the ASD will anticipate and respond effectively to marketplace dynamics. Additionally, the ASD serves as a compliance leader, ensuring all Collegium’s policies are communicated, supported, and enforced across the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet Sales and Corporate Business Objectives
    • Meet/exceed sales goals, maximize promotional budgets, and create and executive the national sales strategy
    • Responsible for deriving and managing sales goals at the district level and the associated incentive compensation programs
    • Meet/Exceed KPIs at the field sales level
  • Grow and Develop Sales Team
    • Manage a best‐in‐class sales organization consisting of District Sales Managers and ADHD Specialists.
    • Ensure team members meet training goals and develop rapidly into subject matter experts.
    • Coach team members individually to perform as a high‐functioning unit.
    • Implement and contribute to succession plans to ensure appropriate talent is in place for long‐term business goals.
  • Work Cross Functionally with all Internal Stakeholders
    • Lead cross‐functional partnerships with Commercial Operations and Marketing.
    • Identify opportunities in the marketplace, share best practices, and proactively communicate strategies to cross‐functional partners.
    • Collaborate with marketing, market access, commercial operations, legal, medical, finance, and training teams.
  • Create and Grow Culture
    • Support and execute awards and recognition programs to retain and attract top talent.
    • Retain top talent by ensuring appropriate development programs are executed to grow and develop people.
    • Live and embody a culture that keeps patients at the center of all activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience with at least 5 years as a first line sales leader.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, changing environment.
  • Successfully navigate and adapt to change.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead specifically to the person and situation. Be able to adapt to different environments as necessary to compliantly achieve success in all situations.

$240,000$280,000 USD
