Full job description
The Diesel Technician Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external).
This position will be located in Irving, TX at the FleetPride Corporate office. It has a Monday to Thursday in office and Friday at home work schedule.
Essential Tasks
- Partners with Leadership, Hiring Managers and HRBP to determine staffing needs and communicate/instruct on hiring processes.
- Builds Quality Talent Network and Pipeline of engaged Diesel Technicians in searchable database.
- Screens resumes and interviews candidates (by phone or in person)
- Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Uses creative and progressive approach to developing new recruiting strategies.
- Develops and maintains influential relationships with Diesel and Automotive Technical Schools, colleges, alumni groups, military sources, and diversity organizations to find and attract applicants
- Maintains Job Postings (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Create, Develop and administer Diesel Technician recruitment programs and strategies. Including Apprenticeship programs, Referral Bonus programs, special advertisements etc.
- Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
- Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.
- Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
- Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements).
- Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.
- Makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings within an assigned territory.
- Helps other recruiters when needed and contributes to the success of the team as a whole.
- Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Process criminal background checks and drug screenings in order to determine candidates’ hiring eligibility.
- Complete all reporting in a timely fashion
- Utilizes WorkDay to efficiently process candidates through hiring process
- Observes and maintains confidentiality of company matters.
- Informs hiring managers of candidates approved for employment and confirms start dates.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- At least 2 years of prior Diesel Technician/skilled labor recruiting experience.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to work in dynamic, fast paced environment, and keep up with a high volume of activity
- Must have demonstrated strong organizational and documentation skills
- Intermediate to advanced user knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Gmail. Internet navigation and research. Experience creating and implementing Social Media Campaigns.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably WorkDay
- Ability to travel within United States and internationally 2-3 times per year.
