Production Associate 1

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay: $17.25 per hour

2nd Shift: 3:45 pm - 12:15 am

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Grid Operator is responsible for the fabrication of grid units in the grid area of the Glass Department. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands.

• Consistently hold cycle time of the position
• Choose the correct schedule of the grid rollforming machine
• Assemble the grid segments together to build the grid unit
• Identify the proper hardware and complete grid unit assembly
• Movement of carts in and out of production work area
• Communicate quality issues observed either upstream or downstream of their position
• Communicate mechanical issues with the machines to leadership or maintenance staff

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for duration of entire shift.
• Must have fine motor skills.
• Ability to learn computer program of production equipment to operate the machine
• Ability to work in tandem with another operator
• Ability to locate minor quality defects in grids
• Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex.
• Ability to comprehend written work instructions, standard work and quality documents
• Ability to move carts of grids in and out of production areas
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
