## Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sealant Technician located in Dallas, Texas.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Sealant Technician is responsible for apply sealants (silicone, polyurethane, acrylic, fire-rated, etc.) to joints, seams, and assemblies of sub-station buildings enclosures in accordance with specifications.
Work Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00AM - 2:30PM
What a typical day looks like:
- Apply sealants (silicone, polyurethane, acrylic, fire-rated, etc.) to joints, seams, and assemblies in accordance with specifications
- Perform precision caulking on interior and exterior components to ensure watertight and airtight seals
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, cutting, masking, and priming to ensure proper adhesion
- Tool and finish sealant beads to achieve clean, uniform, professional appearance
- Inspect completed work for gaps, inconsistencies, or defects and correct as needed
- Read and interpret basic drawings, work instructions, and sealant application specs
- Maintain consistent bead size, depth, and alignment across repeatable production builds
- Remove and reapply defective or aged sealants as needed (rework/repair)
- Follow required cure times, application conditions, and manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and production timelines
- Use and maintain tools such as caulking guns (manual/pneumatic), scrapers, and finishing tools
- Work with cross-functional teams (assembly, quality) to meet build specifications
- Maintain clean and organized work area, especially around finished surfaces
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of related experience in caulking or related functions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately
- Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management
- Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams
- Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements
- Basic understanding of tools (ex. Tape measure, impact drill, etc.)
- Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
