Responsible for calibration of all measuring equipment and other items as needed
CALIBRATION SPECIALIST/METROLOGY PROGRAMMER FLSA Status Hourly Non-exempt Reports to Manufacturing and Quality Engineering Manager or designee Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent (GED) A minimum of 1 (one) year experience in the inspection field using standard inspection equipment and prints to determine conformance to requirements Essential Functions, Knowledge and Competencies Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more); frequent bending and twisting Must have vision correctable to 20/20 Ability to distinguish color Advanced Print reading and GD&T Understand the use and limitations of standard inspection measuring and test equipment Basic math skills Basic computer skills Good verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills Must be available for all shifts Advanced Gage knowledge Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems Interpret the limitations of physical properties Responsibility Responsible for maintaining, completing and facilitating calibrations of all gauging and measurement equipment utilizing gage tracks software for both Precision Edge facilities Responsible for maintaining customer owned gauges May be required to provide back up to QC Final Inspectors when needed Responsible to research and acquire new gauging Programming and file maintenance for advanced metrology equipment. (i.e. TESA, OGP, Keyence) Point of contact during customer and registrar audits with regards to calibration Train employees as needed All other duties assigned
This is a full-time onsite position with potential travel opportunities to other worksite locations.
