The Crane and Rigging Supervisor is responsible for the client liaison to determine customer requirements. They also will ensure that all operators are properly trained on the equipment they are assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe working environment ensuring all employees understand and follow all required Sterling safety procedures.
- Responsible for providing detailed site surveys in order to determine crane requirements.
- Responsible for providing timely quotations for clients based on site surveys and/or client requests, providing input to improve quality and value.
- Responsible for communicating all requirements as per job quotation, client requirements and/or PRA to the Dispatcher, working together to ensure successful job completion in accordance with Sterling procedure and policy.
- Assist with on-site lifting operations as required.
- Carries out various scheduled and unscheduled LPS activities.
- Carries out and arranges on-site Tool Box talks as required.
- Oversees Operator training and competency assessments.
- Responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships through effective communication.
- Responsible for ensuring customer issues or concerns receive prompt responses.
- Responsible for maintaining customer relationships, seeking feedback on a regular basis incorporating positive feedback into strategies, while developing new opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Crane Operator certification.
- Valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
- 1+ year supervisory experience.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to complete basic math calculations.
Working conditions
The work environment is 75% outdoors in various weather conditions and possible exposure to fumes, airborne particles and/or toxic chemicals may occur. Exposure to moving mechanical parts is frequent. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to sit, stand and walk for various periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to be able to reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy materials; walk outdoors on uneven terrain in various weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Salary: $100,000 to $130,000 USD annual, depending on experience.
Pay Range:
45.00 - 55.00
