Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Partner – Engineering is an experienced technical recruiter responsible for full-cycle recruitment of engineering, research and development, technical operations, manufacturing, and professional-level positions across FormFactor's global business. This position follows a hybrid work model based out of Farmers Branch, Texas, with regular onsite engagement alongside engineering and business stakeholders.
As a trusted recruiting partner to engineering leaders and hiring managers across the enterprise, you will drive talent acquisition strategies focused on attracting niche technical talent in highly competitive markets. The ideal candidate brings advanced sourcing expertise with strong business partnership capabilities and has demonstrated success recruiting engineers and technical professionals from semiconductor, test & measurement, advanced manufacturing, photonics, electronics, or related technology industries.
The Talent Acquisition Partner operates with a high degree of autonomy, independently developing sourcing strategies, building specialized talent pipelines, influencing hiring decisions, and managing searches from initial intake through offer acceptance. This position requires applied expertise, independent problem solving, meaningful impact on business outcomes, and consultative influence. Additional recruitment areas may be assigned based on organizational priorities and workforce planning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for engineering, technical, and manufacturing, positions.
- Lead intake meetings and develop recruiting strategies aligned with business priorities and workforce plans.
- Conduct candidate screening, assessments, pre-interview strategy sessions, debrief facilitation, offer negotiation, and closing activities.
- Drive efficient, high-quality hiring processes that balance speed, candidate quality, and exceptional stakeholder experience.
- Ensure compliance with recruiting processes, employment regulations, and internal policies.
Technical Talent Sourcing (Primary Focus)
Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies for specialized technical talent that may include RF/Signal Integrity, Optical Engineering/ Silicon Photonics, Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), Thermal Characterization, Probe Card Engineering, MEMS, Electrical, Mechanical and Systems Engineering, Semiconductor Process and Test Engineering, Packaging, Reliability, Materials, Yield, Product Engineering, and Advanced Manufacturing Automation.
Additional technical domains or functional areas may be assigned based on evolving business needs.
Talent Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain pipelines of passive candidates across critical technical disciplines.
- Conduct talent mapping and market research to identify competitive talent pools.
- Develop creative sourcing approaches utilizing direct search, referrals, networking, industry communities, conferences, and digital recruiting tools.
- Nurture and maintain long-term talent communities for critical engineering skill sets.
Business Partnership & Consulting
- Serve as a consultative advisor to hiring managers and business stakeholders
- Provide market intelligence related to talent availability, competitive hiring trends, compensation considerations, and recruiting strategy.
- Influence hiring decisions through data-driven recommendations and thoughtful candidate assessment.
- Partner with business and TA leadership to anticipate future workforce needs and talent risks.
Candidate Experience & Employer Brand
- Deliver a proactive, responsive, and high-touch candidate experience.
- Represent FormFactor's employer brand through industry networking, events, university engagement, and digital recruiting initiatives.
- Act as a brand ambassador for FormFactor's technology, culture, and career opportunities.
Recruiting Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate recruiting activity, candidate data, and hiring documentation within Workday Recruiting.
- Monitor recruiting metrics, SLA’s and pipeline performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting effectiveness, candidate experience, and sourcing outcomes.
- Support special recruiting projects, workforce initiatives, and talent acquisition programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Semiconductor industry recruiting experience.
- Full-cycle recruiting experience.
- Demonstrated success recruiting engineers and technical professionals.
- Experience with advanced sourcing methodologies and passive candidate engagement.
- Strong track record managing multiple complex searches simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and offer-closing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience utilizing ATS and recruiting technologies (Workday preferred).
- Test & measurement industry recruiting experience.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site organizations.
