AECOM's Flood Risk Solutions group is hiring a project manager as part of the Compass Joint Venture PTS contract for FEMA. As the Mission Support control account manager under the Standard Operations task order, responsibilities of this role include both client-facing tasks as well as internal team management. We will fill the role with a highly organized and teamwork oriented individual who is interested in growing leadership capabilities with the support of a JV team structure and governance.

Job Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Perform project management duties to monitor scope, schedule, and budget, as well as managing risks and change.
  • Monitor cost batch file weekly to confirm appropriate staff charging to project and that the baseline is being met.
  • Build a team of capable staff across the JV to support the client’s objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal support helping with client tasks stated above (RSCs, other control account managers, CNMS team, etc.).
  • Provide mission support to regions finishing legacy projects.
  • Provide disaster support, including advance planning efforts, in coordination with RSC leads.
  • Deliver messaging as needed with CERC, Program Services and Program Planning control accounts, as well as other control accounts as needed for seamless support and delivery.
  • Provide program analytics as requested using flood mapping program data, National Structure Inventory, and other datasets as requested by FEMA.
  • Support other ad hoc/technical requests including but not limited to compiling community mapping program data regarding ongoing studies, timelines, status, or other information as requested by FEMA.
  • Determine how risk data can help support active disasters as well as recovery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. degree + 4 years of relevant experience within a professional consulting environment or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Located in D.C. metro area
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FEMA HQ organization and previous work completed related to disaster frameworks and HAC/SAC inquiry responses
  • FEMA badge and GFE

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AECOM certified PM, or ability to become certified within the first year.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
