Job Description
A Consultant at Chapman & Co. is a client-facing practitioner who designs and delivers leadership and culture work with meaningful autonomy. This role owns the execution of client engagements: facilitation, consulting delivery, and relationship stewardship, while bringing their primary Center of Excellence practice lens to the work. The role exists in two contexts: regional Consultants are embedded in a region with a defined client portfolio; COE-based Consultants deploy across regions and contribute to practice development. Both are the same level and the same craft.
Primary Responsibilities:
Client engagement delivery — design and facilitate client engagements including workshops, offsites, leadership programs, and consulting sessions within your primary practice area.
Client relationship management — manage assigned client relationships day to day, serving as a trusted point of contact and ensuring quality and continuity across the engagement lifecycle. Regional Consultants own relationships directly; COE-based Consultants support Regional Leader-owned relationships as a deployed practitioner.
Scoping and proposals — collaborate with the Regional Leader to scope, plan, and execute client projects, contributing to proposals, workplans, and client communications.
Opportunity identification — identify opportunities to expand engagement scope or deepen client relationships and raise them to the Regional Leader.
Cross-COE delivery — deliver work across Centers of Excellence as needed in service of the client and region. COE-based Consultants also contribute to practice frameworks and content development.
Role Expectations:
At Chapman & Co., Consultants are entrusted with the client relationships and delivery that define Chapman & Co.'s impact in the world. Grounded in our values of Connection, Collaboration, Authenticity, Curiosity, and Empowerment, they live this by:
Owning relationships and results — building trust with clients and colleagues, and delivering work that people can count on.
Driving growth — deepening client relationships and identifying opportunities that grow the firm's impact and reach.
Working as One Chapman & Co. — collaborating across regions and Centers of Excellence, because our best work is shared.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience — 5+ years in consulting, leadership development, facilitation, or a related field, with demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver independently.
Client-facing delivery — a record of designing and delivering work directly with clients, not just supporting others' delivery.
Education — Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree in organizational development, business, psychology, or a related field preferred.
