The Opportunity:

Hitachi Energy in Alamo is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance activities that support safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. You will lead a skilled team, coordinate plant maintenance priorities, and improve equipment performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians while setting clear expectations and building a strong safety-first team culture.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities and assign work based on production priorities, equipment conditions, and available resources.
  • Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support production goals.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, quality, and EHS teams to resolve equipment issues, improve processes, and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Use SAP or other CMMS tools to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, backlog, labor planning, and asset history.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs, analyze recurring equipment failures, and drive continuous improvement through sustainable corrective actions.
  • Support spare parts planning, contractor coordination, and maintenance resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of work.
  • Participate in capital expenditure budgeting, expense planning, labor planning, and scheduling, while ensuring effective management of critical spare parts, tools, and consumable resources needed to support production equipment operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable internal procedures, external regulations, and site standards across all maintenance operations.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of planning and/or maintenance supervisor experience, OR associate degree plus 4 years, OR high school diploma/GED plus 6 years.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience planning maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, labor allocation, and parts management.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS tools such as SAP, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead teams in support of safety, quality, and operational goals.
