# About the Company

Our network firm based out of Glen Rock, NJ is hiring!

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing CPA firm. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax expertise and experience preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and other pass-through entities. This role requires excellent client service skills, the ability to manage multiple engagements, and proficiency with CCH tax software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for:
  • Individuals (Form 1040)
  • Partnerships (Form 1065)
  • S Corporations (Form 1120-S)
  • Trusts and Estates (as applicable)
  • Prepare Schedule K-1s and analyze pass-through entity tax issues.
  • Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax questions.
  • Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and tax projections.
  • Review client financial statements and supporting documentation for tax compliance.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer tax questions, and provide planning recommendations.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and assist clients with year-round tax planning.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audits when necessary.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while meeting filing deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate workpapers and documentation in accordance with firm standards.
  • Utilize CCH tax software and related applications for tax preparation, workflow management, and research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA license preferred or actively pursuing CPA certification.
  • 4+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
  • Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax, Axcess Tax, or other CCH software preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to client service.
