Provides support and guidance on all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
  • Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
  • Analyzing engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates, and implements all changes.
  • Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.

Degree Requirement

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings and develop manufacturing routings and/or process plans.
  • A strong understanding / working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.

  • Conducts impact analyses to determine the effect change might have on the status of current production environment.
  • Implements routine changes to the production environment; documents the changes made.
  • Follows the established change control process to ensure the performance of emergency repair and maintenance.
  • Prevents unauthorized or unintended deviations in compliance with that of change control policies.

Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes. Level Working Knowledge:

  • Discusses considerations for work cell design and effectiveness monitoring.
  • Finds solution for key technical and people problems associated with transformation to lean.
  • Explains issues and considerations of implementing lean in own function or area.
  • Selects and utilizes tools, techniques and measurements associated with a lean assessment.
  • Explains benchmarks and measures of effectiveness of lean.

Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. Level Working Knowledge:

  • Assesses associated phases, activities, deliverables and processes.
  • Documents relevant standards, policies and practices.
  • Follows standard manufacturing processes to conduct production activities.
  • Researches new technologies to be integrated into existing manufacturing process.
  • Explains tools, techniques and documents used for process monitoring and control.

Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
