Position Summary

The Engineering Technician plays a vital role in supporting engineering and service operations by coordinating project activities, preparing service quotes, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This position works closely with engineering, sales, and service teams to help deliver high-quality solutions while maintaining safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage service quotations for customers.
  • Support the sales team by assisting with purchase order submissions and processing.
  • Partner with the service team to develop accurate estimates for parts, labor, and service work.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of engineering and service projects.
  • Track project milestones, maintain project documentation, and provide status updates.
  • Ensure project records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Identify and communicate project issues or potential risks as they arise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Management, or a related technical field with at least two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, service, or technical operations.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
  • Experience creating service quotes, estimating parts and labor, or supporting customer service operations is a plus.
